We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for someone in Indonesia who has experience as a Ruby software developer to build out a new software engineering team. About the team Our current team consists of our engineering manager in our Melbourne office and two engineers in Kuala Lumpur. Both of our co-founders are also software engineers. You will be one of the first on the development team and there will be enormous opportunities for learning and personal growth. We\'re looking for someone that can set a high technical standard as the team continues to expand. Technology The heart of Influx is an internal product we call the People App. It\'s what we call a socio-technological system that brings together. Our system currently powers support experiences for our 1,000+ team members, spread across 12 countries. The People App is a Ruby on Rails monolith running on a Postgres database. Using a simple architecture and solving problems in simple ways allows us to scale to this size while engineers can focus on work that delivers business value. What we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for

• Minimum 3 years of working experience in Software Engineer
• Experience in leadership roles will be preferable
• Excellent spoken and written skills in English
• Experience with our technical stack: Ruby, Rails, Postgres
• Optional nice to have: if you have experience with: PHP, Python, Node, Typescript, Golang, AWS, Heroku
• Someone that is curious, collaborative and ready to take ownership.
• Comfortable being part of a small, autonomous and distributed team.
• Top-notch communication skills are essential.
• Eager to learn and grow.
• Experience designing and building efficient, reliable (yet maintainable) systems.
