Supports sales throughout the presales process in terms of providing technical expertise and inputs for technical presentations, proposals, demonstrations, SoWs, and PnLs Software Service Manager Kulim,MYS Key Responsibilities Supports sales throughout the presales process in terms of providing technical expertise and inputs for technical presentations, proposals, demonstrations, SoWs, and PnLs Ensures deployments are completed on schedule and within budget Collaborates with PMO to improve project management processes, templates, training, and documentation Leads and organizes training, development, and cross-training efforts to optimize services team operations Forecasts headcount needs and works with deployment managers as well as regional manager to ensure projects are resourced appropriately Owns performance of key performance indicators such as utilization, performance against schedule, budget compliance, etc Oversees continuous improvement efforts pertaining to pre-sales and deployments Assuming the role of Project/Program Manager to ensure that specific project and program objectives are defined for areas of responsibility, and that necessary preliminary activities (e.g., determination of outcomes, milestones, viability studies, and resource planning, among others) are completed to allow for effectiveness and focus during later stages of completion. Ensures that all projects and programs assigned are completed in accordance with predetermined requirements, with specific attention to product/process specifications, project/program costs, resource utilization, and timeliness for completion. Ensures that all phases of project, program and/or feature development are documented and that information required in other functional areas is reported, disseminated, or transferred, as appropriate. Ensures compliance with company policies Manages employees (direct reports or matrixed reports); contributes to effective performance management, employee development and retention. Interfaces with defined customers on product roadmap and strategy, provide constant feeding into the product line roadmap on customer HVP and new technology roadmap. Functional Knowledge Has knowledge of all parts of the factory CIM along with expertise in one or more CIM applications Thorough understanding of project management principles (e.g. PM BOK) Working knowledge of business process management and business process improvement Understands and applies quality principles and processes such as 8D, APS, PDCA Has prior experience and knowledge in Software development life cycle and Software application deployment cycle Business Expertise Prior experience with MES/CIM Software Engineering and development is a must. A key activity of this position involves requirement analysis, design and development of MES/CIM products / solution. Prior experience with Applied MES product 300works, FACTORYworks would be an advantage. Prior working experience in semiconductor industry or semiconductor knowledge will be preferred. Leadership Supervisory responsibility is expected in providing technical guidance to team members.
