Job Description

• Sous Chef for a breakfast buffet at a hotel/serviced residence in Petaling Jaya. Around 200 Rooms.
• Looking for a talented Chef who can lead a small team, and can produce high quality and delicious dishes for a breakfast buffet, while maintaining a set budget
• Shift starts from 5 am - 1 pm noon. Short working hours

Requirements

• Good communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
• Able to work in a small team, and maintain a high standard of quality for food as well as hygiene
• Must be able to converse fluently in English as well as Bahasa Melayu
• Good attitude and responsible character.
• Independent with persuasive interpersonal skills and results-driven

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for the kitchen\xe2\x80\x99s daily operation
• Ensures cost control procedures are adhered to at all times
• Ensure high standard of cleanliness, hygiene and safety are maintained in kitchen at all times
• Monitoring and controlling stock levels and minimize food waste and theft
• Develop standard recipes and techniques for food preparation and presentation which help to assure food consistently in high quality
• Checking freshness of food, coordinating activities of kitchen staff determining the best presentation of food, ensuring quality of each meal, inspecting kitchen equipment for cleanliness and monitoring sanitation policies
