As Sous Chef is the second-in-command in the kitchen, supporting the Head Chef in managing daily operations. This role focuses on multiples cuisine, ensuring authentic flavors, high-quality presentation and efficient kitchen workflow in restaurants settings.
Key Task:
1. Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff during food preparation and service.
2. Ensure consistency and quality of food dishes.
3. Assist in menu planning, recipe development and food presentation.
4. Maintain hygiene, safety and food handling standards.
5. Monitor inventory, order supplies and control food. costs.
6. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff.
7. Step in for the Head Chef when needed.
At least 1-2 years in a Sous Chef role, preferably with multi-outlet or high-volume experience
Working experience:
1. Experience in non-halal or fusion cuisine is highly preferred
2. Background in high-volume or upscale dining environments is a plus.
Skills required:
1. Strong knowledge of Asian cuisine, Western cuisine and modern plating.
2. Experience in handling fast-paced service while maintaining consistency.
3. Team player with good leadership and kitchen coordination skills.
4. Understanding of food cost, kitchen SOPs and inventory control.
5. Familiarity with pork dishes.
6. Ability to communicate effectively with kitchen and service teams.
