foodpanda is part of the Delivery Hero Group, the world\'s leading local delivery platform operating in 70+ countries worldwideWe\'re currently looking for a Specialist, Category Management (IT & Professional Services) (APAC) to join our regional team (KL office based). The Specialist, Category Management (IT & Professional Services) (APAC), is responsible for overseeing all aspects of IT and Professional Services procurement within the region. This role involves aligning with and contributing to global procurement initiatives led by the Central Procurement team. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Category Management (IT & Professional Services) (APAC), the Specialist will collaborate with stakeholders and procurement leaders across Foodpanda\'s operating countries to drive procurement strategies.Reponsibilities:

  • Develop strategic approaches to identify cost and productivity improvement opportunities in procuring hardware, software, SaaS, IT services, telecommunications, recruitment, external workforce, insurance, consulting, and other professional services across the region.
  • Participate in procurement projects and technical meetings focused on data privacy, IT/cybersecurity, compliance, and risk management.
  • Assist on the management of the end-to-end insurance procurement process, from initial assessment to policy implementation and renewal
  • Keep track of all insurance policies and renewal for all 11 APAC markets
  • Conduct market research and vendor evaluations to identify potential suppliers, assess their capabilities, and negotiate favorable terms and pricing
  • Implement regional category management aligned with global strategies by collaborating with cross-functional teams and leveraging market best practices.
  • Develop and implement outsourcing frameworks and practices to optimize procurement operations across all markets.
  • Coordinate and manage tasks within the procurement team, ensuring alignment with both the Global Category team and local procurement teams.
  • Take on category management responsibilities, including developing a balanced supplier base, fostering strong business relationships, and driving supplier performance through appropriate metrics and scorecards.
  • Oversee the contracting process, including administration, archiving, and post-execution activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all APAC procurement policies and procedures.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives and best practices across all procurement processes.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of two years\' experience as a procurement professional, with a focus on IT, professional services, and insurance commodities, is required
  • Track record of successful project management with excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple stakeholders and deadlines
  • Experienced in regional supplier management, contract management, and strategic sourcing
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Working knowledge of SAP Ariba
  • Willingness and ability to adapt to a rapidly changing and high-growth environment.
