GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION

  • Take on global freight transportation freight bill verification & payment process.
  • This includes audit and validating of all of our Ocean Freight and Air Freight.
  • Freight / Shipments Tracking with Forwarder / Lead Service Provider (LSP).
  • Responsible for executing standard operational policies / procedures / guidelines to ensure smooth and safe flow of goods and materials to meet the customer order fulfilment.
  • Operate and execute the hub consolidation load planning and optimization within the defined geographical regions.
  • Support / Monitor on KPI (Key Performance Index) / Service Level Agreement with LSP.
  • Provide statistical reports (Freight Spending / Volume Performance).
  • Capable of analyzing the reports generated and provide support/solutions.
  • On-going managing the LSP costs effectiveness and efficiency to achieve the set targets.
  • Provide market intelligence and rate development.
  • Support on Internal Ansell Plants & Outsource Suppliers escalation and inquiries related to Freight Transportation / Logistics matters.
  • To interface and work with LSP to resolve operational issues.
  • Position will be based in Malaysia.
RESPONSIBILITIES & SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Assist to collect, analyze and report data contained within Logistics Reports and Freight Summary Reports.
  • Present customers with information related to material movement for domestic and international shipments.
  • Prepare and present reports on everyday cycle counting audits to clients.
  • Conduct once in a week any Discrepancy checks on any Monitoring / Tracking / Logistics Reports.
  • Execute the transportation plan and ensure optimal transportation utilization.
  • Operate and execute the hub consolidation load planning and optimization within the defined geographical regions.
  • Head responsibility for KPI information on daily basis.
  • Provide backup support as needed to other Logistics Analyst or Superior.
  • Ensure documentation, procedures and processed are compiled and filed properly.
  • Develop reports showing transportation costs on precise projects and moves.
  • Support with maintenance of logistics policies, procedures, support plans and similar data.
  • Provide assistance for maintaining logistics planning tasks.
  • Review and analyze program effectiveness, suggest and execute on time improvements and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate accountability of property and issues maintenance.
  • Establish and update regularly work priorities and stations and fulfill routine tasking by supervisor.
  • Provide guidelines on import or export custom paperwork to ensure smooth shipment.
  • Provide oversight of process to ensure shipments/logistics are moving through established freight forwarders and provide assistance in difficult issues.
  • Provide the information to assist in Trade Compliance issues and be the resident expert on trade compliance or customs issues.
  • Weekly / monthly reporting.
KEY POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education
  • BA in Logistics or Business or equivalent.
Job Experience
  • At least 3-5 years' experience in Logistics operating/functional role & responsibilities.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Possessed in depth knowledge of carrier's functions.
  • Good knowledge of Ocean Freight & Air Freight products.
  • Acquired knowledge in general shipping matters - ie.L/C, shipping documentation, claims, CFS & Port operations, clearance, freighting, shipment terms, etc.
  • PC skills with an emphasis on spreadsheets and data base programs. Well versed in MS Office software - ie. Ms-Word, Ms-Excel and Ms-PowerPoint.
  • Excellent & strong analytical, oral and written communication skills.
  • Good negotiation and decision-making skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated supervisory and leadership skills and ability to identify, drive and resolve issues with other groups effectively.
  • Knowledgeable and experience in international logistics receiving and shipping models & process flows set up, networks & solutions and basic Supply Chain Management.
Additional Requirements (travel, etc.)
  • From time to time, travel may be required to the plants or suppliers' locations.
  • Attend to teleconference out of normal office hours.
