Role Responsibilities

The CPBB Retail Data Technology supports in data delivery via data warehouse solutions. The team comprises data specialists, technology experts and project managers who collaborate with business stakeholders for end-to-end solution implementation.

SCB seeks to hire talented data professionals with relevant experience who will be able to work in global environment from internal and external talent pool.

Project delivery

  • Working Independently to engage consultants, business analysts from other business solutions team and escalate issues in a timely manner
  • Providing good subject matter expert knowledge and recommendations to balance time critical vs longer term sustainability
Key responsibilities are:
  • Join technical discussion to evaluate the hardware specification requirement of new servers
  • Raise Request to engage SCB platform team to kick start hardware procurement process
  • Work closely with PM by providing procurement cost info to PM for obtaining funding approval.
  • Raise technical Change Request to Vendor for Server Installation and Application setup
  • Work with Vendor team for Server Upgrade process \xe2\x80\x93 Server Build
  • Work with Development Team and BIZ user for Post server Build \xe2\x80\x93 SIT and UAT
  • Work with Security Team after UAT sign off \xe2\x80\x93 SAT, PENTEST
  • Providing Technical Walkthrough to PSS and BIZ BAU Team before Server Live.
  • Manage and assist in technical Q&A in Project Daily call with BIZ and PMs
  • Self-exploration to find solution from google, POC and propose solution, permanent or interim.
Our Ideal Candidate
  • Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
Domain knowledge & Technical skills
  • Graduate degree in computer science or relevant degree
  • More than 7+ years of experience in banking domain/product knowledge with IT working experience
  • Must have good knowledge in writing and understanding complex UNIX Scripts.
  • Have basic understanding and general knowledge of Retail data analytics.
  • Able to collaborate and document BIZ need and Solution Architecture Design and BAU Process
  • Some working experience in automation for info gathering and volume analysis, such as disk space, mass program code update.
  • Good communication and Stakeholder, technical vendor (SAS, IBM, ATOS) management skills
  • Very quick learner with strong interest in latest technology road map such as MFA (Multi Factor Authentication), CLOUD, AGILE
  • Ability to seek and gain consensus in a multi-cultural, cross-border and matrix reporting environment, and build trust and long-lasting work relationship
  • Ability to respond and guide business user for quick Q&A such as UNIX or Windows Command
  • Knowing the technical limitation and terminology of IBM AIX and RHEL teams. such as LPAR, NAS, DASD, SAN, SI, SAN TIERS difference.
  • Ability to convert AIX Flavour Scripts into LINUX Flavour Scripts
  • Fluent in Perl Script, Awk programming, Python Scripting is an added advantage.
