GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION

Based out of Ansell\xe2\x80\x99s corporate headquarters in Cyberjaya Malaysia and reporting to the Healthcare Global Business Unit President, the Sr. Director of Operational Excellence & Quality Leadership is primarily responsible for setting the strategy and leading Process Excellence / Quality teams in support of Ansell\xe2\x80\x99s Healthcare BU global and operational objectives. You will develop strategic plans to support the success of Ansell\xe2\x80\x99s manufacturing plants including resource requirements, laboratory & testing requirements, engineering skills, training programs, scientific method, and continuous improvement efforts. You are expected to inspire a customer-centric culture of excellence, Quality and Teamwork within the Healthcare BU Manufacturing Plants across all key functions.

What would your role look like?

Overseeing a team of more than 50 Direct & Indirect report, you will be responsible for

• Develop annual operating plan and budget for Quality and Operational Excellence teams to support operational objectives across all eight plants in Malaysia, Thailand, Sri Lanka and India.
• Ensure initiatives support Customer Requirements and Ansell Objectives while all regulatory requirements / GMP\xe2\x80\x99s for production of Medical & Industrial products are met.
• Strategic partner in support of Product Management and Regional Quality objectives.
• Supports regional Regulatory Affairs teams to ensure product compliance, registrations and appropriate certifications required to meet corporate sales objectives and that Ansell operational facilities are compliant with global regulations.
• Develop reporting capabilities and applicable KPI\xe2\x80\x99s to measure performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Ensure alignment between Operations and QA teams in support of key initiatives.
• Responsible for driving quality excellence throughout all HGBU manufacturing plants by providing overall strategic direction and guidance for the quality system.
• Ensure policies and practices are in place to support all product claims (claims substantiation).

What will you bring to Ansell?

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Engineering, Science, Technology or related field, MS preferred. Business degree or certification is a plus.
• More than 10 years\' experience in Operations, Mfg and Quality management, ideally within medical device manufacturing industry and a track record of successful leadership.
• Experience with plant and process optimization, by applying LEAN / 6-Sigma tools to improve Quality, Consistency while reducing operational waste, scrap and rework.
• Keen grasp of plant financial performance with ability to favorably impact key metrics such as OEE and PPV.
• Leadership & Engagement for large, diverse teams and multiple cultures.
• Excellent communication skills, written, verbal and presentations.
• Conversant with ISO 13485, MDSAP, MDR & ISO 9001 Standards / Certifications.
• Knowledgeable in Quality Management Systems including Change Management, CAPA\xe2\x80\x99s, complaint management and audit.
• Strong computer and systems / SAS skills. Comfortable with MS Office, enterprise quality management systems, ERP systems and Advanced Statistical Analysis.
• Fluent English, additional language capabilities are desired.
• Ability to travel internationally, up to 40%.
