Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a Sr. Specialist, Business Case Development & Economics Model who will be in charge of developing Business cases (i.e. Strategic & Market Assessment, Techno Economic assessment and modeling, Risk Analysis & Modeling, .etc.) essential to facilitate the decision making by senior leadership in regard of Mega projects Investment Decision and Capital Allocation . This role will be fully involved in various Techno Economic decisions that will have an impact on overall cash flows / economics of the project. The holder of this role is expected to continuously monitoring the business case and seek ways for value creation / optimization . The holder of this role is expected to present the Business Case to various stakeholders such as Steering Committees to facilitate the investment decision making.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in business administration, finance, engineering or economics.
Financial Modelling & Valuation Analyst Certificate, CMA, or similar certificate from accredited institute is preferred
8 - 12 years of experience in Business Case Development, Financial Modeling, Financial Planning & Analysis or investment planning, M&A or similar functions in a petrochemicals or industrial organization.
Very good knowledge of petrochemical industry and working in global organization / environment

Duties and responsibilities
Actively participates in various project proposals by scanning / analyzing project inputs from various sources like Project core team members, Business Management, Corporate Finance, Manufacturing & Engineering, Technology Management.
Takes up the overall ownership of developing Business Case & Financial model that are essential to facilitate the decision making by senior leadership in regard of Investment Decision and Capital Allocation.
Participates in negotiations on Feedstock pricing, Marketing principles, JV principles and guides the Project team explaining the impact of these decisions on Project cash flows and economics.
Constantly looks into various risks along with its mitigation plan and if necessary translates these risks into financial numbers in the overall evaluation of projects.
Participates along with other project team in the discussions relating to selection of technologies, supply chain solutions and every area of project that has an economic and cash flow impact.
Keeps Management informed at each stage the economics of the project with sensitivity analysis.
Acts as a gate keeper challenging hundreds of inputs flowing in from different functional teams so that the data is clean as much as possible.
Review, challenge, qualify and articulate project proposals ("storyline") and ensure that they are aligned with strategic drivers.
Collect, review and cross-check process schematics, mass balance and full project assumptions to ensure that the full picture is robust and that there are no contradictions among various inputs.
Conduct Post-Investment-Review to confirm realization of all promised benefits and to report on lessons learned, if any.
Identifies the critical focus points that has the potential to optimize the value of the project and develop plans in discussion with the core team to achieve the value during business planning phase and project development phase.
Lead the business case development for brownfield opportunities at early stage by scanning / analyzing inputs from various sources.
Takes up the overall ownership of Economic model that are essential to facilitate the investement decions by senior leadership.
Support the execution of opportunities.
Ensure that the SBU is optimally placed in its understanding of commercial challenges and opportunities.
