JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides product support through the diagnosing, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex equipment and systems (cell production PECVD systems)
• Checks out and approves operational quality of system equipment
• Generate and distribute daily reporting (passdowns) in a timely and efficient manner
• Weekly reporting of activities, issues and escalations to Fab and San Jose Mgmt teams
• Requires multiple levels of product support, and is not limited to system hardware and software, PC's, and networking/wireless networking
• Ability to lead and manage projects within different cultural environments and without (or without) direct management (cross organization/company influence)
• Improve system performance while using the built-in capabilities of the system
• Able to prioritize and manage deployment of improvement projects
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Team player, but able to work independently with little direction
• Strong desire to learn
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
• Knowledge of semiconductor, flat panel or solar cell processing equipment (or equivalent) desired

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• 10+ years of related experience in semiconductor, solar or flat panel capital equipment; preferred experience in working with vacuum systems and wafer handling equipment.
• Able to read schematics and logic diagrams
• Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
• Experience working in the FPD/PCB/Semiconductors capital EQ industry is an advantage
• PECVD equipment experience preferred
• BSc. Industrial/Manufacturing/Mechanical/Electrical/Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Additional Experience: Familiar with Linux and Windows operating systems; familiar with motion control applications; familiar with fine calibration and alignment of capital equipment
• Travel abroad required (Philippines and US)
