KEY OBJECTIVES To provide advice and strategies for flow assurance, integrity management and chemical management. This involves supporting frontline operations by ensuring unrestricted flow in pipelines and process, ensuring integrity of facilities is undamaged and chemicals meet their intended functions. Provide supporton technical expertise relating to Flow Assurance matters. Provide support in development of tender plans and contracts and assume the role of Contract holder for applicable contracts. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Technical expert for decision which affect technical and HSSE performance of chemical applications, chemical injection systems, chemical monitoring systems or technical integrity, throughout the facilities & hydrocarbon life cycle, delivering chemistry innovations to the business and expert chemistry solutions in all stages. Provides Flow Assurance advice for production facilities on brownfield and greenfield development, acts as Technical Authority level actively managing risk whilst displaying focus on simplicity and focus on the end goal. Adopts critical role in pro-active assessment and framing of chemistry issues in all major critical projects and provides chemistry solutions for more complex, integrated problems, displaying a Technical Authority level proficiency. Provide engineering solutions, using interpretation and decision making to solve routine chemical analysis or unique flow assurance problems such as Emulsion (caused by combinations of carboxylic and naphthenic acids, asphaltenic crudes, paraffinic wax crystals, brines and solids), Production optimizations (Oil in Water control or separations/ treatment, well interventions/ unloading activities) Solid depositions (sand and scales), H2S controls, Integrity and safety (H2S controls, corrosions, utilities, equipment preservations) Lab management (Chemical analysis) Chemical Injection reliability and performances Crude quality during Tanker offtake Responsible for monitoring and improvement chemical injection performance and reliability. Familiar and able to recommend lab analysis techniques necessary to assist in troubleshooting and monitoring purposes. Responsible for the selection of high performance, cost effective, legally and environmentally compliant chemicals and support environmental improvement initiatives such as chemical greening plan, reduction of footprint and reduction of emissions. Identify and active embed continuous improvement initiatives with respect to chemical usage, optimization and all production chemistry scope. Continuously improve and enhance work processes, tools, models that have developed and implemented to monitor and optimize the facility. Plan, tender and manage chemical supply and services contract ensuring adherence to required business control. Manage chemical suppliers, assure the quality of technical work and supply of chemical, as contract holder. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Minimum a degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or equivalent. In depth knowledge of oil field flow assurance, particularly in chemistry and related research, minimum 10 years\' experience in oil field chemistry. Good knowledge of both Oil and Gas production. Familiar with production processes. Had worked in integrated facilities with receiving gas and oil terminal. Familiar with emulsion caused by carboxylic/ naphthenic acid occurred in Sarawak basin would be preferred. Experience working on Floating Storage and Offloading (FSO) vessel managing flow assurance related matters such as emulsions, sludge and H2S would be preferred. Track record working for/ with an operator company. Experience in managing routine chemical consumptions, chemical and manpower movement, as well as troubleshooting works. Proficiency in SAP skill is required. Fluency in English, both spoken and written. Strong personal and interpersonal skills with flexibility to meet the fluctuating needs of cross-functional operations support. Willingness to travel to the field, both onshore and offshore. History of managing technically specialized vendors.
