POSITION : Staff Engineer, Production REPORTING TO : Head of Production Operations Support Section DIVISION/DEPARTMENT : PLS / PLO / PLO/O LOCATION : KL Office

KEY OBJECTIVES

• Staff Production Engineer for any assigned field within the PTTEP Operating Asset. Responsible for routine well and reservoir surveillance, problem well diagnostics and rectification.
• Responsible for well and field production performance, production allocation, database management, Nodal Analysis, Material Balance, and surface Network modelling with PROSPER-GAP-MBAL.
• Identify opportunities for recompletion and workover to help arrest field decline and deliver such ideas to completion with the assistance of Reservoir Engineering, Operations, Facilities and Well Interventions and Drilling.
• Ability to perform technical assessment, review and lead production engineering special project for brownfield projects.
• Close liaison with well interventions, reservoir and facilities engineers.
• Production welltest planning, scheduling and interpretation.
• Routine PBU and PFO analysis.
• Assist in coordination of internal and Petronas WPB as required.

WORKING RELATIONSHIP

• Reports directly to the Production Engineering Subsection Head, keeping him/her informed of all technical activities.
• Develop a strong relationship with the Offshore Team to solve day to day issues and plan for future activities all related to Production Engineering.
• Liaise closely with the Process Engineering team to following through on issues related to production.
• Develop strong working relationships with Reservoir Engineering, Operations Engineering, Facilities, and Well Interventions.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• University degree in Engineering, preferably in Petroleum Engineering.

• A minimum of 15 years of oilfield experience.

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in production engineering, with a proven track record of problem solving. With at least 2-3 years deepwater production engineering experience.

• Experience with production optimization using computer software especially Prosper, MBAL & GAP.

• Familiar with reservoir, completions and construction engineering.
• Willingness to travel to the field, both onshore and offshore
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is essential.
• Strong communication skills.
