Job Description


  • Putting stock away in accordance with the hotel\'s quality procedure (stock rotation)
  • Assisting with input onto the stores computer and occasionally placing purchase orders
  • A shared responsibility as part of the stores team to respond to emergency assistantce for the issuing of fittings out of hours.
  • Order, receive, store, safeguard, maintain and disburse parts, materials, supplies, tools and equipment
  • Ensure that inventory count is adequate, cost effective and accurate using various methods such as a full inventory count, cycle counting or spot checking
  • Order inventory as necessary to maintain stock level, ultilizing quantity and other discounts as appropriate in order to reduce holding and ordering costs
  • "To ensure cleanliness according to schedule and as necessity arises, all heavy duty equipment, including inside refrigerators and ventilation filters
  • Maintains records, prepares reports and composes correspondence relative to the work
  • To maintaining & ensure the surround store area (inside & outside) always in good condition, clean and safe orderly work environment
  • Determine stock level and reorder points
  • Maintains catalogs of available stock items
  • Determine items and quantities of stock to be purchased and maintained
  • Inspects items as to quality and quantity against freight documents
  • Resolves discrepancies in requisition, purchase orders and delivery reports by contacting vendors or requesters
  • Stocks materials according to a prescribed inventory system
  • Establishes standards and methods for storing supplies and materials
  • Estimates cost and assigns account codes to item purchased
  • Directs the maintenance and operations of gas, electric or hand operated stores equipment
  • Directs the maintenance and operation of gas, electric or hand operated stores equipment
  • Controls the disbursement of supplies and material through directing the posting of inventory control cards or automated systems
  • Checking and unloading deliveries safely in the correct areas
  • Receive inventory appropriately, checking supplier\'s document for accuracy before authorizing payment and storing inventory appropriately for safekeeping and efficient retrieval
  • Safeguard inventory as appropriate and with documentation to ensure proper accounting and receipt of payment
  • To receive requisition orders from the various department heads, to prepare them for issuing and finally to issue them to the respective departments
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Requirement
  • Candidate must possess at least SPM or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Commerce or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 or 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful and a team player.
