Your role in our team:
Coordinate, control and lead respective material category / supplier assigned, in order to achieve best commercial terms and profit benefit from the purchasing volume
Creation of transparency in suppliers purchasing volumes, overall cost, development / ramp up plan, contract management and analysis of future demands
Actively drive cost reduction and cost avoidance initiatives, lead material localization projects and commercial negotiations for direct materials (including product transfer projects), in line with company\xe2\x80\x99s KPIs
Conduct category management reviews and actively source for new suppliers to bridge supply gaps in respective material categories
Initiate negotiation and implementation of relevant purchasing strategies for related material categories / suppliers, which include but not limited to demand bundling, price and contractual negotiations to award / signing of contracts
Active supplier management which include selection, evaluation, handling of any critical or commercial issues and the overall development (from suppliers purchase volume or sales growth perspective), in collaboration with other interface departments
Identify and conduct risk assessment on suppliers business performance, which include but not limited to insolvency risks, market and country risks; as preventive measure to potential risks to business (damages, delivery failures, etc.)
Execution of total cost of ownership and cost structure analyses
Additional Tasks/Responsibilities:
Supplier performance assessment
Find new suppliers, conduct RFIs and RFQs,select and develop suppliers
Initiate continuous improvement ideas for topics related to process, system or tools, and supply planning
Requirements
More than 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in purchasing field, preferably with manufacturing background (direct materials)
Computer literate, MS-Office (especially Excel and Power Point)
Preferably with SAP experience
Excellent communication & negotiation skills, able to speak confidently with people from different levels of company hierarchy both internally (within company & intercompany) and externally (with suppliers)
Excellent analytical skills and able to present outcome of analysis
Possess knowledge / ideally able to read technical drawings
Possess relevant knowledge / experience in legal and commercial terms in contracts or agreements will be an added advantage
Able to multitask, handle work pressure and work under minimum supervision
Able to handle ambiguity and drive projects by proposing solutions to ensure results are delivered
Team work - Able to work with colleagues from different levels & departments
