Job Title Supervisor, Cash Inquiry & Investigation



What is the opportunity?

Our client is a specialist provider of asset services, custody, payments and treasury services. Founded in 1864, they are the 10th largest bank worldwide and the 5th in North America, as measured by market capitalization. Our client has a processing centre of operational excellence supporting 10 countries across three geographical time zones employing a Global Operating Model to maximise efficiencies across times zones and supports a 24/5 operational capability. The objectives for Malaysia are to enhance the scalability of their global operations, improve service quality via their \xe2\x80\x98centres of excellence\xe2\x80\x99 and to implement/leverage standardised processes globally.

What will you do?

• Lead the team as a SME and perform the daily processes of team to ensure risk mitigation, policy and contractual adherence and escalation in the event of any issues that arise day to day.
• Lead the provision of support to the overall cash inquiry, claims and investigation business, ensuring that trade settlement, corporate action, income collection and all associated issues are managed and prioritised according to associated levels of market/financial risk.
• Work with Partners globally within the Front Office, Client Services and Operations teams in back-office to facilitate quick resolution and enhance the RBC reputation in the market.
• Manage new staff on-boarding and provide oversight and direction to the employees in the department in accordance with the organization\'s policies and procedures and assist manager in capacity planning.
• Mitigate financial/reputational risk by ensuring appropriate structure, resources, procedures and controls are developed and maintained in compliance with regulatory requirements or company policies.
• Liaise with Risk & Compliance Department to ensure policies and procedures pertaining to Operations controls are appropriately implemented. Ensure team\xe2\x80\x99s adherence to all regulations, policies and procedures.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

• 4 to 6 years of Cash and Payment Operations experience in middle / back office. Detailed knowledge of cash markets and securities industry.
• Extensive operational knowledge / experience in Transaction Management, Corporate Actions, Foreign Exchange, Cash Payments, Shareholder Services, Fund Accounting or equivalent
• Good communication, presentation, interpersonal and networking skills with a proven track record of dealing with clients, senior management and colleagues.
• Strong talent management and leadership capabilities. Well-developed organisational and administrative skills. Risk management and mitigation focus
• Proven track record for implementing change.

Nice-to-have

• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytic skills. Excellent decision making & problem solving skill
• Conversant and have worked with platforms such as TLM and familiar with core custody platforms: Milvus, Focus, Hiport, GPlus or similar.
