Job Title Supervisor, Cash Management



What is the opportunity?

RBC Investor & Treasury Services Malaysia is a center of operational excellence supporting 10 countries across three geographical time zones. The country employs a Global Operating Model to maximise efficiencies across times zones and supports a 24/5 operational capability.

You will be responsible for the day to day operations of Cash management activities. The role is to deliver specific services to external and internal stakeholders with high level of quality, efficiency and fostering a client first mind-set. You will be responsible to lead the team to meet strategic business objectives, define an appropriate control and governance to support the operations and to meet the regulatory requirements, closely working with Risk, Compliance and Change programs to support group\xe2\x80\x99s initiative as well as assist with Internal and External Audit and Regulatory requirements.

You will be supporting Luxembourg team, 15:00 \xe2\x80\x93 00:00 / 16:00 \xe2\x80\x93 01:00 hours local time.

What will you do?

• Join the team as a Supervisor and perform the daily processes of team to ensure risk mitigation, policy and contractual adherence and escalation in the event of any issues that arise day to day.
• Planning for capacity and ensure all queues are completed within the operation hours
• Review of risk documents, policies and procedure to enhance control and governance of process
• To review process flows and work on project/ initiatives for enhancement of STE
• To conduct root-cause analysis for error and work with stakeholders to implement appropriate control framework to mitigate.
• To support management with data driven analytics
• Oversee client cash balances in major currencies and emerging currencies balances of I&TS Bank
• Approval of client\xe2\x80\x99s overdrafts within Operations authority limits
• Escalation of client\xe2\x80\x99s overdrafts to ICCM and GRM
• Work with Partners globally within the Front Office, Client Services and Operations teams in back-office to facilitate quick resolution and enhance the RBC reputation in the market.
• Manage new staff on-boarding and provide oversight and direction to the employees in the department in accordance with the organization\'s policies and procedures and assist manager in capacity planning.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

• 4 to 6 years of Cash and Payment Operations experience in middle / back office.
• Payments background/ experience in swift formatting
• Detailed knowledge of cash markets and securities industry.
• Extensive operational knowledge / experience in Transaction Management, Corporate Actions, Foreign Exchange, Cash Payments, Shareholder Services, Fund Accounting or equivalent.
• Good communication, presentation, interpersonal and networking skills with a proven track record of dealing with clients and colleagues.
• Risk management and mitigation focus.
• As a guideline to ensure a reasonable time is spent in a role, you are expected to have at least 12 months of service in your current role for any lateral move

Nice-to-have

• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytic skills. Excellent decision making & problem solving skill
• Conversant and have worked with platforms such as TLM and familiar with core custody platforms: Milvus, Focus, Hiport, GPlus or similar.
