Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Daily Operations & Maintenance

Supervise daily maintenance works for M&E systems, air conditioning, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and general building services. Ensure all guest rooms, facilities, and public areas are well maintained at all times. Respond promptly to breakdowns and carry out immediate corrective actions. Monitor and supervise external contractors and service providers.

2. Preventive Maintenance

Implement and monitor the Preventive Maintenance Program for the property. Ensure all scheduled maintenance works are completed on time and properly recorded. Identify potential equipment issues and report recommendations to the management team.

3. Safety & Compliance

Ensure compliance with workplace safety, fire safety, and local authority requirements. Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure proper housekeeping within the engineering areas. Support statutory inspections and audits when required.

4. Team Supervision

Supervise technicians and junior engineering staff during daily operations and shifts. Guide and support the team on work quality, safety practices, and discipline. Ensure proper attendance, grooming, and professionalism at work.

5. Guest & Internal Support

Attend to guest maintenance complaints professionally and efficiently. Work closely with Guest Services, Housekeeping, Security, and other departments. Minimize disruption to guests during repair and maintenance activities.

6. Reporting & Documentation

Prepare daily maintenance and breakdown reports. Update maintenance records and asset registers accordingly. Assist with basic documentation related to engineering operations.

Job Requirements

Diploma or Certification in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Maintenance, or a related field.

Minimum 2 years of experience in the hotel industry only, in an engineering role.

Willing to work on shifts

, including weekends and public holidays. Basic knowledge of M&E systems, air conditioning, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems. Able to work independently with minimal supervision. Physically fit, responsible, and well-disciplined. Good communication and teamwork skills.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM2,800.00 per month
