Job Description

Job Requirement:


1. SPM or Diploma or equivalent.

2. Minimum 3 years' experience in the housekeeping and hospitality industry or in a similar capacity and with excellent communication and international skills.

3. Able to work under pressure and shift work.

Job Summary:



To supervise the conduct of the maids, being certain at all times the Resort's regulations and policies are followed without deviation. Check all rooms daily to ensure proper maintenance, and upkeep of all furnishing and facilities directly after the rooms have been cleaned and are ready for sale. To supervise maids and general cleaners to ensure maximum efficiency and proper care of equipment, supplies and proper storage of the same. To ensure proper cleanliness and care of all public area and the back of the house.

Standard Job Responsibilities:



Room



1. Issue floor master keys to room attendant and assign rooms for cleaning.

2. Check "check-out" rooms immediately after they have been cleaned and release room as vacant clean using the guest room telephone line.

3. To inspect out of order rooms daily and released as soon as possible when room defects have been rectified by maintenance.

4. Informed all new employees assigned to her floors as to their status within our organisation chart, policies and procedures in regards to cleanliness and maintenance of guest rooms and report of damages, etc.

5. Must have the ability to supervise those directly assigned to her area and ensure that their efforts are directed towards achieving the Resort's standards of excellence.

6. Has to see that all guest rooms, corridors, maid stations, standing ashtrays and stairways are spotless and clean at all times.

7. To inspect all areas for cleanliness, condition of repair, completeness of equipment and supplies, and in guest rooms for the standard arrangement of all equipment and supplies.

8. Report room in order to housekeeping office when they are ready for sale.

9. See that all maids' stations are furnished with complete necessary supplies for guestrooms and make sure that guest should never have to ask for necessary articles. Instruct maids exactly what supplies go into each room and where it should be placed. These supplies are to be obtained by requisition approved by the Executive Housekeeper.

10. Notify maintenance of necessary repairs to Housekeeping Office immediately. It is important that these work orders be completed and rapidly as the conditions requiring repair observed, and that they be forwarded immediate.

Public Area



1. To perform all cleaning jobs as directed by supervisor according to daily schedules.

2. To carry out special assignments as instructed by public housekeeping supervisor.

3. To perform all cleaning jobs according to supervisor's instructions and to use all cleaning equipment and products as directed.

4. To clean all equipment after use and replace them in their correct places.

5. To be able to lift and transport heavy items as needed and do same heavy cleaning work and handling of heavy machinery.

6. Must be able to clean high areas and places, such as ceiling and walls.

7. To be aware of unclean areas and correct them.

8. To perform all other duties as may be directed from time to time.
