Our quality department in Port Klang, Malaysia is now looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer role.

What will you be doing?

• Responsible for inspecting critical materials, witness tests, assess production processes, and review verification documentation according to specification and ITPs
• Responsible for supplier development activities including audits, process and product qualification, first articles verification and improvement initiatives
• Responsible for analysing supplier capabilities, issues and guide the supplier for problem solving / further improvement
• Being the technical liaison of AKSO for dedicated suppliers in-charge
• Carry out QMS/HSSE/Technical audit and/or inspection activities at suppliers\xe2\x80\x99 site as and when required
• Perform technical review and verification on supplier\xe2\x80\x99s documentation according to AKSO specification and project/client requirement
• Review and approve Inspection Test Plan (ITP) align with defined procedures and project ITP
• Attend Pre-Production Meeting (PPM) to ensure technical / inspection requirement are understood / aligned with all stakeholders
• Support suppliers with understanding of AKSO Quality Surveillance (QS) requirements
• Review supplier performance in order to recommend any reviews of ITP interventions frequency
• Responsible for releasing materials from suppliers that meets AKSO quality, engineering, project and administrative requirements

We think you should have:

Qualification

• Minimum a degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent / technical qualifications
• Relevant technical/ diploma certificates related to welding, coating, metallurgy or NDT would be distinctly advantageous
• Certified / trained in ISO 9001:2015 auditor would be distinctly advantageous

Experience

• Minimum 3 years relevant industrial experience, preferably in Oil and Gas with QA/ QC/ Supplier Development/ Lean background
• International experience, or experience from working in a global setting preferred

Abilities and knowledge

• Self-sufficiency with regard to verifying quality of product, but able to communicate with wider business for clarifications when required
• Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Excellent command of English
• Solution oriented with ability to balance strategic and hands-on approach
• Independent with the ability to initiate action and influence stakeholders
• Transparent team player, systematic and analytical
• Ability to work under pressure with \xe2\x80\x9ccan-do-attitude\xe2\x80\x9d
• Good knowledge of ERP system, preferably SAP
