Monitor and manage daily material requirements based on production plans (MRP).
Coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery of raw materials and components.
Track inventory levels and ensure optimal stock availability (avoid shortages or overstocking).
Prepare and maintain supply chain documentation: purchase orders, GRNs, invoices, stock reports.
Follow up with internal teams (Production, Quality, Stores) to ensure material flow.
Support inbound and outbound logistics, including transportation scheduling and documentation.
Ensure data accuracy in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
Maintain records as per IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 requirements and support audit readiness.

Independently manage suppliers, negotiate prices, delivery terms, and contracts.
Analyze supply chain performance and implement cost reduction strategies.
Develop and monitor KPIs (OTIF, Inventory Turnover, Supplier OTIF, etc.).
Lead initiatives for supply chain process improvement and automation.
Handle escalations and lead resolution of supply chain disruptions.
Mentor junior staff (Assistants / Interns) and support training initiatives.
Qualifications:
Assistant Level:
Diploma / Bachelor's in Supply Chain, Mechanical, Production, or related fields.
0-2 years of experience in manufacturing or logistics (automotive preferred).
Executive Level:
Bachelor's Degree (mandatory); MBA in SCM / Logistics (preferred).
2-5 years of experience in supply chain roles, preferably in automotive or Tier-1/Tier-2 supplier environments.
Skills & Competencies:
Knowledge of supply chain operations in a manufacturing setup.
Understanding of ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / Infor / Tally, etc.).
Good Excel and data analysis skills.
Communication and coordination abilities across functions.
Working knowledge of lean inventory, JIT, Kanban, and 5S (preferred).
Familiarity with import/export processes (if applicable).
