• Responsibilities
• Directs the team of the day to day activities and reporting for functions involving Supply Chain Management such as Purchasing, Planning, Inventory, Warehousing, Logistics, Business Compliance, ERP System and Government Regulatory.
• Provides direction, coaching and guidance on any major projects that may arise from time to time. Such projects may come from corporate or site level initiatives.
• Maintains compliance with all regulatory requirements including the review of ISO compliance, SCM Business Compliance and any Government Regulatory controls.
• Identifies and implements cost reduction activities.
• Work with Customers Focus Team in communicating and negotiating with customers relating to demand, commitments, non-performing inventory, process changes / improvements and or any related business activities.
• Takes leadership, ownership and responsibilities to drive inventory management to meet goals and targets daily / weekly / monthly / quarterly including collaborating with other Celestica sites, Customers Focus Team, Operations, Finance and any related departments be it at site or Corporate.
• Leads strategic and tactical short / mid / long-term initiatives including process / continuous improvements, action plans, training, education, coaching, guidance, seamless implementation and executions.
• Establishes annual goals and objectives linked to Game Plan
• Partners with Human Resources to create strategic plans for hiring, training, and retention of staff.
• Develop a strong competent and sustainable team at the site.
• Job Requirements
• Minimum Bachelor\'s Degree in Business Administration / Management / Supply Chain or related
• With a minimum of 10 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position
• Preferably at least 8 years in EMS environment
• Manages inventory and establishes controls to ensure is operating at the highest level of performance based on key performance metrics and minimized supply chain risk.
• Develop strategies, policies, procedures, and overall team to optimize value of the entire function in creating a world class materials management group
• Develop and continuously improve supplier programs.
• Participate in existing and new product planning processes to assure timely acquisition of materials to support product launches.
