At Batu Batu Resort, we are dedicated to the 4Cs framework created by The Long Run, which emphasize Conservation, Community, Culture, and Commerce. This holistic approach guides our efforts to create a sustainable and thriving environment for nature, our team members, guests and local community. We are looking for a Sustainability Officer or Executive to work within our team at Batu Batu to help drive this initiative. The successful candidate will report to our Resident Manager and Chief of Staff.

Responsibilities:

Sustainability Strategy Development Environmental Management Education and Advocacy Guest Interaction and Awareness Collaboration with Other Departments Compliance and Reporting Community Engagement Cultural Preservation Economic Sustainability Collaboration with Tengah Island Conservation:
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Natural Resource Management, or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a sustainability role, preferably within the hospitality or tourism industry.

Strong knowledge of sustainability practices, environmental regulations, and green certifications.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proven ability to lead projects and work collaboratively with diverse teams.

Passion for environmental conservation and sustainable tourism.

Ability to live and work in an off-grid, remote location.

Ability to speak fluent English and Bahasa Melayu.
