Key Outputs : 1. Coordinate and assisting in executing sustainable palm oil work and strategies in WWF-Malaysia. 2. Represent WWF-Malaysia in public forums and events concerning sustainable palm oil in Malaysia, in the region and internationally. 3. Represent WWF-Malaysia in the RSPO General Assembly, other governance structures of the RSPO, relevant working groups and technical committees. To carry out interventions and advocacy within these in alignment to agreed WWF positions and while deciding the latter, to ensure that WWF Malaysia\xe2\x80\x99s interests are not compromised. 4. Represent WWF-Malaysia in the MSPO Technical Committee, other governance structures of the MSPO, relevant working groups and technical committees. To carry out interventions and advocacy within these in alignment to agreed WWF positions and while deciding the latter, to ensure that WWF Malaysia\xe2\x80\x99s interests are not compromised. Major Activities : 1. Develop and execute the sustainable palm oil strategy for the FY21-25 SMP strategy and future strategies including contributing to the communication, corporate engagement, policy and financial engagement outreach strategies embedded in the SMP approach. Handling all the daily administrative matters and correspondence related to this. 2. Proactive and quick outreach and response to enquiries and other situations related to the business of SMP, in particular sustainable oil palm. 3. Proactive in aligning SMP\xe2\x80\x99s sustainable palm oil work with current sustainable palm oil issues and the Malaysian government initiatives on sustainable oil palm. 4. Lead the sustainable palm oil work for Living Landscape Approaches where necessary. 5. Actively fundraise for the various components of the sustainable palm oil strategy through sources within the network, corporate bodies (in conjunction with the Marketing Team of Corporate Relations Unit), Government & Aid Agencies (e.g. IFC, USAID, Embassies etc). 6. Maintain the related sustainable palm oil contents of the SMP section of WWF-Malaysia\xe2\x80\x99s website and other communication matters such as the preparation of press releases and submission of articles to WWF-Malaysia\xe2\x80\x99s magazine and other external media sources, input into campaigns or other major communications initiatives as and when needed or required. 7. Establish partnerships with key stakeholders, facilitate the establishment of appropriate working mechanisms to lobby governments and engage companies to promote the production and consumption of sustainable palm oil in Malaysia. 8. Provide support to other programmes in WWF-Malaysia regarding sustainable palm oil matters in Malaysia and for the global palm oil team when necessary. 9. Submit all reports on the monitoring of project implementation to the SMP Lead, WWF-Malaysia and donors where applicable. 10. Ensure quality control, on-time delivery, exercise responsibility in executing project activities, and ensure compliance with WWF-Malaysia\xe2\x80\x99s policies, procedures and guidelines. 11. Provide technical support to key producers, buyers and consumers of sustainable oil palm; provide technical support to WWF Staffs responsible for corporate relations, policy and government engagement and financial institution engagement pertaining to sustainability of oil palm, and to provide technical support to the Conservation Director of WWF-Malaysia and other key internal and external stakeholders as needed. 12. Participate in NGO and government forums (meetings, seminars, workshops, conferences, etc.) that allow for the promotion of WWF-Malaysia\xe2\x80\x99s work and to identify opportunities for partnership building, raising funds for WWF-Malaysia and capacity building for WWF-Malaysia staff working on SMP related matters. 13. To provide and ensure effective supervision, guidance, coaching, motivation, performance monitoring/management of all your direct supervisees, and to assist with the identification/facilitation of appropriate training during the course of their service or during their Annual Performance Appraisal process. Specifications : 1. A minimum bachelor degree in Agriculture/Commodities, Business Management, Forestry, Natural / Social science, or other related fields. 2. At least seven (5) years of professional experience, working in the palm oil sector or agencies associated with this sector (e.g. RSPO, MPOA/MPOB/MPOC/MPOCC) either in production, processing or retailing would be an important requirement for this position. Experience with commodity policy/trade work would be an advantage. 3. Knowledge and commitment on conservation issues in Malaysia would be an asset. 4. Excellent writing and speaking skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia is a requirement. 5. Must be computer literature and have the ability to use appropriate technology for presentation to partners, stakeholders and potential donors. 6. Excellent leadership, diplomatic and interpersonal skills. 7. Substantial experience of working with government, government agencies and corporate bodies. 8. Having a calm temperament, with a methodical and meticulous approach work. 9. Good interpersonal skills, innovative thinking, versatile ability to work in a team and work independently. 10.
