  • Develop and Manage the Group Sustainability Finance Framework including:
  • Sustainability Product Framework
  • Transition Plan & Strategy (including Science Based Targets) - development and execution of net zero strategies and decarbonization roadmaps, including carbon target setting and feasibility analysis
  • Development and execution of carbon value chain roadmaps, including ethical supply chain transformations
  • Responsible Lending and Investment Plans
  • Green Financing Guideline
  • Sustainability /ESG/ Climate Risk Assessment (Tools and Guideline)
  • Develop an external network, including participation through industry initiatives, to stay informed of the latest climate, environmental & social developments and keep abreast of best practices, trends, and issues, communicating and raising awareness to internal stakeholders
  • Guide the implementation of the Group\'s Sustainability Framework, through all Lines of Business
  • Function as first-point of contact for the Business regarding regulatory requirements and guide internal risk and business functions in adapting and augmenting associated policies and standards, and develop policies and standards as required
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to implement and promote the relevant policies and guidelines, integrating them into the client origination, credit approval, and overall decision-making process
  • Be the subject matter expert to internal stakeholders. Provide advisory services and support for group-wide sustainability related areas
  • Perform due diligence and other verification as needed relating to sustainability/ESG issues
  • Build, nurture and deepen relationships with ecosystem partners to seek out new opportunities for credible sustainable finance programmes, and support business teams as a subject-matter expert
  • Collaborate with Businesses to design Sustainability Finance products and services
  • Support and strengthen the sustainability culture programme providing feedback from interactions with Regulators, Group Compliance and Group Internal Audit
  • Develop, collate, and analyse sustainable finance, net zero and other data/databases. Conduct research on sustainability topics, including climate risk, sectoral GHG emissions, biodiversity, environmental and social practices in the region and internationally as a basis to consider implementation through the Group\'s sustainability journey, contributing to thought leadership
  • Serve as a point of contact for engagements with regulators, governmental agencies, industry associations, NGOs and other relevant agencies/bodies on sustainability matters and where required, collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure appropriate responses and communication
Job RequirementsTo qualify for the role, you must have:
  • 15 years of relevant working experience in banking/financial services or consulting for banking/financial services (e.g. risk management, regulatory compliance and governance, relationship/product management)
  • Bachelors\' degree in a relevant field such as, Law, Finance, Accounting, Environmental Science, Sustainability or Economics, from a reputable university or equivalent professional qualification in finance or accounting
  • Sustainable finance certification or master\'s is a plus
  • Strong leadership abilities and experience delivering high-impact projects across multiple teams
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical solutions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Familiarity with the regulatory landscape; knowledge and understanding of regulations and standards; preferably those related to climate, environmental & social risks
  • Ability to convey information clearly, accurately, and succinctly and draft high-impact presentations and documentation
  • A good balance of considering the big picture and attention to detail
  • Professional maturity and soft skills to operate within a large, complex organisation
