To be successful in this role, you should have in-depth knowledge of Windows Server operating systems, with a strong focus on Windows Server 2016/2022. You should have advanced level troubleshooting skills and be proficient in administrative scripting using PowerShell. TEAM INTRODUCTION As a System Support person in Infrastructure team we support, maintain and monitor the datacenter infrastructure globally 24 x7 and ensure that underlying infrastructure (hardware, operating systems, databases and middleware) availability meets the agreed Service Level targets. WHAT YOU WILL DO Support 250k+ machines environment Collaborate with internal teams on desktop related issues Troubleshoot remotely Windows installation/upgrade failures and issues Provide RCA for Windows related issues Work with our support vendor on Incident andProblem management APPLICATION YOU WILL USE: Windows Servers Veritas and Microsoft Cluster Veritas NetBackup PowerShell WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE: Minimum of 3 years of experience working in an IT Operations & End-User Support environment, and be familiar with ITIL framework and have a basic understanding of IT security principles. Automating technical tasks using PowerShell. Working experience and troubleshooting skills in Active Directory, Windows OS Patching, Veritas / Microsoft Cluster, backup and restore, network protocols, firewalls and best practices. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with end-users. Proven problem-analysis and resolution skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently, as required. Flexible to work on 12-hour rotational shifts on weekends based on the schedule. Willing to provide 24x7 on-call support on a rotational basis during the weekend and also be willing to work during public holidays. WHAT IS THE PLUS POINT (S) .ITIL Foundation / Certification knowledge. Basic understanding of IT security principles. MCSA, MCSE, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+, CCNA or equivalent.
