Our employees tell us that the number one reason they enjoy working for Cochlear is the opportunity to make a difference to people\xe2\x80\x99s lives.We are seeking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist (1 year contract) reporting to the Director Global Talent Acquisition, to be based in Bangsar South, KL. In this role, the successful Talent Acquisition Specialist will work closely with line managers to fill open role and work on pipelining against future need, both directly and with support. In addition, working with country P&C teams, the role will implement effective and efficient recruitment strategies to ensure that Cochlear attracts the best talent to deliver on our strategic business objectives.Key Responsibilities;In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Effectively manage end to end recruitment activities in MY, from engaging with hiring managers through to salary proposal and the offer and reference processes;
  • Maintain recruitment administration in MY, including ensuring recruitment activity is recorded in an accurate and timely manner within the applicant tracking system;
  • Ensure job files are complete (in accordance with internal policies and local legislation);
  • Work closely with the business to understand their talent requirements, business models, and develop talent pipelines to source best in class candidates;
  • Create and sustain effective methods to develop a diverse pool of qualified candidates;
  • In collaboration with the Director Global Talent Acquisition, understand and leverage Cochlear\xe2\x80\x99s \xe2\x80\x9ckey roles\xe2\x80\x9d and succession plan strategies;
  • Provide appropriate feedback throughout the interview and selection process to advise and influence hiring managers, ensuring an overall effective hire;
  • Develop and maintain effective partnerships internally with hiring managers, MY People & Culture team, Corporate Talent Acquisition team, Compensation Specialists, and other members of the Global People & Culture team;
  • Recommend to hiring managers relevant resources, techniques and selection criteria for interviewing, assessing, and evaluating applicants for suitability; facilitate the hiring team de-brief meetings; provide consultative advice on selection and evaluation ensuring consistent application of the selection criteria is complete and in line with local legislation
  • Analyse current and future market trends, with an understanding of (the company) and the medical devices industry, in order to develop effective talent acquisition strategies
  • Identify and build relationships with key retained and contingency search firms, as well as relevant professional industry groups and associations;
  • Ensuring clarity of expectations for team members.
  • Providing feedback and coaching for growth and success to build individual and team capability.
Key Requirements;
  • Minimum bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in any field
  • At least 5 years of working experience in recruiting in a corporate recruiting role; or in an agency/search firm role
  • Experience recruiting for MNC R&D and Engineering will have an added advantage.
  • A proven ability to pipeline talent along with an in-depth knowledge of creative sourcing techniques to uncover passive candidates.
  • Demonstrated ability manage complex, time-dependent deliverables and work within a fast-paced environment whilst balancing competing interests.
  • Experience in preparing salary proposal and provide strong justification to Executive Business Partners is highly desirable.
  • Experienced in the use of broad range of recruitment tools and services including web-based services; candidate search databases and applicant tracking systems, contingent and retained search consultants; and college-based placement services
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to engage with a range of key stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication, organisational, presentation, collaboration, follow-up, and negotiating skills is a MUST for this role.
