JOB PURPOSE
The Visual Arts Teacher must work to ensure the Middle and Senior Schools are where
quality programs and facilities are available for all students within its care. A teacher
demonstrates initiative, leadership, flexibility, creativity and work ethic.II. KEY RESULT AREAS/ RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provide an exemplary student-centred, ICT rich learning experience for students in your
care.
2. Plan, program and deliver high quality teaching and learning activities that are designed
to meet the diverse needs within any class.
3. Maintain a safe and secure educational environment meeting appropriate standards of
behaviour.
4. Assess and report in line with School expectations.
5. Undertake tasks associated with the ongoing development of the School's curriculum.
6. Develop productive and respectful relationships with parents and colleagues to ensure
effective learning for students at the School.
7. Participate in professional growth.
8. Contribute to the provision of a rich and diverse co-curricular experience for students in
the School.
9. Consistently demonstrate the characteristics of an 'Inspired and Passionate AISM
teacher'.

required.

co-curricular activities, camps and events.B. KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
1. Experienced in and able to teach Visual Arts to Middle School and Senior School
students.2. Proven skills in designing, implementing and evaluating differentiated and
inspirational learning experiences for students.
3. Proven skills in using ICT to improve student engagement and learning.
4. Knowledge and experience applying the principles of Visible Learning would be
highly regarded.
5. Expertise and experience leading/coaching sports or co-curricular activities.
6. Spoken and written English is used for all school communications and as such a high
standard of English communication skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening
is required to be successful in this position.C. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor's Degree in Education, or Degree in Speciality plus Diploma of Education
2. Current Teacher Registration in home country, including relevant Police ChecksD. EXPERIENCE
