Responsibilities
  • Coaching team members and reviewing their task to ensure accurate and complete financial records
  • Review reports, audit schedules and reconciliations for closing cycles
  • Review bookkeeping software for month-end closing
  • Review and approve payments
  • Review payroll schedules provided by Payroll service providers and payroll reconciliation prepared by team members
  • Coordinate internal requirements to support both internal and external process (monthly/ quarterly/ yearly submission, external audit & group audit)
  • Liaising closely with auditors and tax consultants to complete statutory reporting
  • Build capabilities and create SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) within the team
  • Monitor resource utilization and manage resource allocation
  • Supporting the Finance Team in collaborating with other functional teams within the organization
  • Handling sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity
  • Any other ad-hoc projects or tasks assigned
Requirements
  • Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ICAEW, MICPA, CPA Australia) or Degree in Accounting
  • At least 5-7 years of relevant work experience, preferably audit or e-commerce industries
  • Experience working with multinational organizations/environment especially in a high growth, rapidly changing culture.
  • Possess a good understanding of group accounting principles - ability to identify accounting issues
  • Able to identify process and reporting improvements and proactively implement solutions.
  • Have a collaborative and flexible style. Able to influence stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to support key stakeholders.
  • Has the ability to prioritise and manage own workload, is resilient and open to challenge.
  • Calm under pressure, knows when to escalate, demonstrates a high degree of motivation and discipline. Demonstrates an organised and structured approach.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
  • Required language: English and Bahasa Malaysia
