Role & Responsibilities As part of the Global Litigation and Investigations Team and under the supervision of the Director - Legal Affairs, the Legal Analyst - Team Leader will lead a team of legal operations specialists who support third party legal orders processing. Operations experience leading a team Understanding of US or European court systems experience with legal order processing is a plus Ensure compliance with US and other global laws and regulations and applicable procedures Effectively manage colleague performance by quality checking work and providing coaching and timely feedback Understand and drive key metrics including productivity, quality and timeliness Escalate complex issues to management for action. Collaborate with team to identify delivery gaps and offer solutions to improve internal policies and processes Quality check the work of the team Ensure that team meets legal and regulatory deadlines and/or extensions are sought Perform other team leader work-related duties as required Are you ready for the challenge Preferred Skills Bachelors\' degree or law degree preferred Articulate and fluent verbal and written English Understanding of the US and/or European court systems Strong people management skills such as coaching, communication and performance management Able to demonstrate strong colleague centric understanding and build strong relationships with others on a global team Able to deliver results in accordance with business goals and objectives Sense of urgency, ability to discern critical matters Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office Suite Able to work independently and a team player Strong written and oral communication skills Meticulous attention to detail, able to analyze and problem solve Able to quickly train on, navigate, and extract information from a variety of databases and information platforms Able to work productively in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities Excellent organization and time management skills Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Additional Details: Job: Legal Organization: GCO - General Counsel\'s Organization Shift: Night Shift Work Location Options:Hybrid Offer of employment with American Express is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background verification check, subject to applicable laws and regulations.
