Responsibilities: The Production Team Leader is responsible for the assignment and coordination of daily workflow for the products in the Melaka manufacturing plant. By developing a culture of continuous improvement throughout the Production Operation. This will be accomplished by providing strong leadership and training that focuses the team on safety, compliance with quality requirements, internal and external customer support, robust inventory control procedures, and the development of standard work and a robust 5S program to improve productivity throughout the operation. What will you do To plan and control production activities to ensure availability of finished goods, and to achieve cost and quality targets. Accountable for daily production planning and is main person responsible for requests from sales companies for delivery lead times. Monitor quality of finished product to ensure customer satisfaction. Track daily production and provide timely feedback to team members. To ensure that Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are maintained, updated, and followed, especially work instructions relating to production and packing. Develops and recommend improvements of facilities, equipment, or procedures to improve safety, quality, and efficiency. Liaise with other HODs to formulate objectives and understand requirements. To supervise, lead, motivate and train the production team. Required to manage the work roster to ensure production targets are met. Monitor the efficient use of production-related consumables such as gloves, shoe covers, printer inks, etc. and to make procurement, when necessary. Estimating costs and preparing budgets for production use Education: Diploma or degree Diploma or degree in Manufacturing will be added advantage. Experience: 3 years supervisory experience. Experience in ISO production environment Experience with Microsoft Office and ERP systems. Must understand equipment, processes, and procedures related to product manufacture. Experience in SAP is preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Understanding and working knowledge of production functions. Must demonstrate customer focus, action/results orientation, verbal/written communications, and the ability to seek input and feedback from others. Demonstrated problem solving and independent decision-making skills. Strong verbal and written communication. Ability to determine root cause and implement robust corrective and preventive actions. Good team player, obedient, willing to learn and responsible. Excellent organizational, human resources and leaderships skills Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach
