Role Purpose

  • Ensures smooth operations of the assigned research team.

  • Provides support to team with high level skills and knowledge.

  • Ensures reports are of high quality.


Responsibilities

  • Provides training, coaching and mentoring to team members, Research Supervisors and Analysts.

  • Works with Research Supervisors to allocate cases and resources.

  • Works with Research Supervisors on high value cases.

  • Ensures high quality and timely delivery of reports.

  • Involves in Quality Control checks.

  • Reviews, communicates and/or documents existing business process & procedure to ensure adequate internal control is in place.

  • Initiates and implements improvement projects.

  • Deals with problems and finds solutions.

  • Works on special projects or reports required by new clients.

  • Identifies various resources offline and online useful for the research department.


Scope and Impact

  • Leads a team of 4 to 5 Research Supervisors.

  • Is accountable for determining approach used to address routine professional issues.

  • Provides guidance or specialized services that directly support or affect results.

  • May act as a resource and guide and instruct others incidental to performing work responsibilities.

  • Initiates and implements improvement projects that could cut operations expenditures or improve workflow.


Technical / Professional Skills & Competencies

  • Complete understanding of types of cases - Full knowledge and grasp of sources including their limitations. Understands the requirements/instructions of what are needed on various types of cases.

  • Thorough understanding of the concepts of report making.

  • Possesses good people management skills.

  • Strong comprehension as well as English writing skills, in-depth analytical and research skill, critical thinking, detailed, meticulous, excellent supervisory, leadership and mentoring skills.


Relationships: Internal / External

  • Liaises with Research Supervisors for allocation of cases and adhere to the designed Workflow System.

  • Works with Research Supervisors on high value reports.

  • Co-ordinates with other Research centers and Case Managers for case related matters
