As part of DHL Group, you will be working with a global network of Procurement colleagues and benefit from a wide range of development opportunities.We are looking for an immediate, full-time, permanent position in APAC at Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.Job Purpose:This role leads a team of dedicated resources that deliver day-to-day purchasing operations to all business divisions across the globe, through established efficient and user-friendly purchasing processes and systems that provide spend transparency and help control costs. We deliver purchasing services through the Purchasing Service Centers from requisition to purchase order based on state of the art e-purchasing tools including both user support.Your tasks:

• Drives (execute) tactical purchasing process (non-catalogue requisitions), and ensure day-to-day / admin support (request and analyse competitive bids (3 bids and 1 buy), select suppliers, quality, delivery terms, specs for goods / services)
• Manage, supervise and ensure efficient purchase-to-pay-process for the sub-region / country e.g.:

• Placement of purchase orders
• Ordering of requested goods / services
• Status monitoring
• Quality check of goods / services
• Supplier Performance
• Continuous Process Improvement
• Lead and conduct BRM for the countries being handled.
• Ensure e-purchasing system maintenance: Master data, e-catalogue content
• Ensure maintenance of authorisation signatures
• Major involvement in KPIs set-up and monitoring achievement for the team

Your profile:Education Level

• Relevant university degree and / or equivalent experience
• MBA or Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree from recognized higher institutions

Experience Level

• More than 5 years of relevant experience with purchasing practices and procedures.
• More than 2 years of implementing new initiatives in a setting of a diverse, cross-cultural, multi-language team operating across different time zones.
• Require experiences of handling complex organisation structure, with multiple levels of stakeholders.
• Require experiences working within shared service centre supporting large global logistics company.
• Relevant experience in commercial functions and in purchasing role.
• Has solid knowledge of sourcing strategy process and all procurement levers.
• Has in-depth knowledge of purchasing processes in all aspects of procurement.
• Experience in e-purchasing and usage of multiple systems and tools.
• Well-versed in most computer-based IT proficiency (eg Microsoft Office suite - Excel, Word, Powerpoint).
• Ability to travel extensively to countries of support, new setup, and business meetings (as and when conditions permit).
• Proficiency in English \xe2\x80\x93 reading, writing & speaking.
• Ability to speak in fluent Korean/Japanese is a must to support the country.
