Job Description

Job Duties:
1. Prepare samples for analytical and microbiological testing (food, water, pharmaceutical and
environmental).
2. Apply aseptic techniques in daily workload.
3. Provide routine preventive maintenance by daily cleaning, sanitizing, and trash disposal.
4. Maintain media and reagents as needed for daily microbiological testing.
5. Inventory and report expendable supplies/materials needed for testing requirements.
6. Perform quality control monitoring by taking incubator temperatures, inoculating control organisms, running media controls, etc.
7. Maintain laboratory condition, to include equipment, supplies, quality assurance programs, and accurate records throughout all procedures.
8. Assisting with managing priorities and schedule such that individual goals as well as team goals are achieved.
9. Able to determine priorities when organizing daily assignments
10. Keeps current with changes in Laboratory procedures
11. Daily assignments are completed within 8 working hours
12. Can be counted on to report to work as scheduled.
13. Can be counted on to carry out instructions and fulfill job responsibilities.
14. Responsible for the safety of oneself and others working within their area
15. Responsible for the completion of required training.
16. Maintains good interpersonal relationships with co-workers and with people in general.
17. The ideal candidate will have a business-oriented background.
18. Familiar with Microsoft Office software, excellent computer/reporting skills.
19. All candidates must be Malaysia citizens or permanent residents and be able to read, write, and speak the English language proficiently. Candidate who can converse in Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese would be an added advantage.

Job Specification:
Education Background: Science disciplines eg : Degree in Microbiology, Biology, Biomedical, Life Science, Food Technology and other relevant background.
English level : MUET, band 4 and above
Training experience: Not Applicable
Work experience: 0 to 2 years
Skills & Abilities: (1) good data management, (2) good time management, (3) microbiology lab testing skills
