Job Description


1. Strategize, manage and review the overall of technical review activities e.g Fire protection systems, code reading, technical baseline and other technical practices for both CEFS and PPIC (external) in accordance to standard/best amongst industry. 2. Provide effective advice, initiate and facilitate the development and implementation of policies/procedures in the areas of fire fighting systems, Fire System Integrity Assurance (FSIA) and technologies related approaches to achieve operation excellence which covers the areas of \xe2\x80\xa2 Code and standard \xe2\x80\xa2 Best practice \xe2\x80\xa2 Fire Protection System \xe2\x80\xa2 Emergency Manual \xe2\x80\xa2 Fire Risk Analysis \xe2\x80\xa2 Pre-Incident Plan \xe2\x80\xa2 Experiment method i.e Foam test 3. Formulate, develop (develop apps) and provide effective guidance to digitalize the work process. 4. Provide effective planning, control and guidance in implementing of effective Emergency Communication System within PPIC and ensure effectiveness. 5. Formulate, review and ensure the effective operation of the Emergency Response Centre (ERC), to be able to respond effectively to emergencies and also proper data collection with regards to future planning of the organization by continuous review and improvement of procedures and guidelines. 6. Analyze and study the incident data recorded related to communication system. Formulate and implement procedure/guideline to improve the effectiveness of the communication system for CEFS, PPIC and government authorities. 7. Lead and develop training/education module and guidelines for technical review area of expertise. 8. Strategically, manage and control and provide guidance to ensure readiness of specialized equipment i.e Weather Monitoring System, CCTV System and Programming for Communication System. 9. Drive, analyze, prepare and undertake new project development i.e Fire Truck procurement, Response equipment, Communication equipment, specialize new equipment procurement etc. 10. Lead and manage all electrical/utilities installation and maintenance for CEFS (Focal Person) with respect to SuruhanJaya Tenaga (ST) regulations. Undertake appropriate mitigation and/or intervention program to ensure smooth operation. 11. Study, develop and conduct technical experiment method and facility i.e Foam Test and provide appropriate counter measure and recommendation. 12. Perform roles effectively either as EMT Logistic Section Chief, Duty Officer (DO) and Fire Commander during major emergency as per guidelines and perform task given by Deputy Head from time to time.
Objectives: 1. To respond to emergency incidents other than oil spill at the Member\'s plants located in or near Kertih, Terengganu, Malaysia. Responses to emergency incidents in an area outside of Kertih, or to non-members may be made at the discretion of CEFS RESPONSE. 2. To provide emergency/fire safety assurance, relevant training and other off-site technical assistance in accordance with good industry practices.
