Objectives of the Position

  • To be responsible as sales & business management of EDR, Coatings, Thailand & Vietnam.
  • To be responsible as business development of Water based Industrial coatings, ASEAN.
  • To be responsible as key accounts manager including global, regional and local key accounts in Thailand & Vietnam. To develop, enable & implement robust activities aimed at growth to increase profitable contribution to EDR, in alignment Regional Strategy.
  • To manage distributors of EDR in TH & VN, effectively in order to help them grow our business through setting realistic sales targets, joint visits to customers as necessary, establishing project plans and coordinating technical support/product promotional tools/training/samples etc.
Main Areas of Responsibilities and Key Activities

Sales Manager EDR, TH & VN
  • Manage sales channels, including distributors. Breakdown & manage targets based on segment application.
  • Implement Business strategy of EDR in the key market segments
  • Responsible to maintain and build up EDR business in terms of profitable margin setting.
1) To support and generate sales by developing & maintaining close contact & relationship with Accounts and Industry contacts.
  • Responsible for achieving sales target/budget.
  • To secure customer sales orders and be responsible for collection.
  • Responsible for the aging and off-spec products.
  • To review credit terms and limits when required for existing and new customer.
  • To provide accurate forecast for customers and input monthly into APO.
  • To provide accurate feedback on credit worthiness of customers applying for credit terms.
  • Maintain good relationship with all customers.
2) To provide service to customers by resolution of customer complaints or issues timely and negotiating, price, terms and conditions of product supply.
  • To provide quotation to customer and ensure all price align with strategic pricing.
  • Treat all customer complaint with priority and ensure respective personnel file into NCM and follow up accordingly.
  • Update customer the status whenever necessary and asking for feedback from customer once investigation done.
3) To develop business by sourcing for new potential accounts, new opportunities at existing accounts and business development ideas.
  • To aim for customer new project/new opportunity within or cross BU and always target for competitor products replacement with BASF existing and new products.
  • To organize workshop, products training, product presentation for customer to ensure customer are familiar with BASF existing and new product.
  • To create NDA (non-disclosure agreement) with Key Customer to new product development and to generate sufficient profit in return.
  • Coordinate for regional projects if the HQ of respective Key Account Managers. Ensure transparent and effective communication with each stakeholder.
4) To monitor business by generating visit reports, monthly reports for Country/Industry Head and project updates.
  • To prepare solid agenda for each visit. Specific the objective and target that BU want to achieve.
Business Development EDR, ASEAN:

1. Manage all sales projects and pipelines, optimize business growth and resources.

2. Work closely with Technical marketing and Application managers to drive new business development.

3. Liaise and support Key Accounts Managers on regional technical approval at key accounts regional technical center or lab.

Job Requirements (minimum requirement to carry out the work)

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry or Chemical Engineering
Working Experience
  • 5 -8 years as sales or marketing in chemicals industry or technical in Paint & Coatings industry.
