The Plant Room Upgrade Technical Support Engineer is responsible for providing technical support during sales process. The Plant Room Upgrade Technical Support Engineer directly reports to Plant Room Upgrade Project Manager and coordinates with Service Sales Manager, Service Operations Manager and Support team ensure strategies are executed accordingly in timely manner.
Responsibilities:

1. Provide technical advice and guidance to the sales force to resolve product or service requests regarding engineering, technical or scientific issues that can be complex in nature.

2. Researching, collecting, and reporting information on the ability and capacity of company products and competing equipment.

3. Aiding in the design and development of equipment and systems, and redesign of existing systems to fulfill the needs of customers.

4. Providing equipment functionality and capability reports to the sales force.

5. Escalating and/or seeking guidance to complex issues from supervisor for resolution.

6. Perform site surveys, site measurements, attend pre-bid walkthrough if needed.

7. Attend tender clarifications/interview as and when required.

8. Develop cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and productivity.

9. Source/liaise/negotiate with suppliers, vendors and subcontractors on quotations and requirements.

10. Determine Bill of Quantity.

11. Ensure compliance with Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), Code of Ethics, and Trane Technologies set policies and procedures.

12. Any other duties as deemed appropriate.
Qualifications:

\xc2\xb7 Degree/Diploma in Engineering/Building

\xc2\xb7 2 to 3 years min experience in HVAC (Heating Ventilating and Air Conditioning)/ACMV (Air Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation) industry is a must

\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of different types of HVAC systems and their components

\xc2\xb7 Ability to read and comprehend mechanical drawings and other construction documents

\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of commercial HVAC/Mechanical Contracting

\xc2\xb7 Able to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines

\xc2\xb7 Strong communication skills

\xc2\xb7 Deadline and detail-oriented

\xc2\xb7 Knowledge/Experience in project management will be value added
