HIRING: Technical Support Engineer L1/L2

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Type: 12+ Months Contract

Mode: Hybrid/Onsite

Budget: RM7,000 - RM8,000 per month

Role Summary

We are looking for experienced Technical Support Engineers (L1/L2) to support enterprise customers in backup, recovery, and data management environments. This role involves troubleshooting, remote problem-solving, and managing complex technical issues related to backup infrastructures and disaster recovery solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues for backup and recovery products, both remotely and on-site. Diagnose and resolve software, hardware, networking, and application-related problems using remote support tools. Monitor and manage backup operations, disaster recovery plans, and storage utilization. Document technical procedures, case notes, and solutions accurately. Perform root cause analysis and escalate software bugs or product improvement requests. Participate in labs, simulations, and product beta testing. Deliver high-quality support via phone, email, and online channels. Collaborate with product development and engineering teams for advanced troubleshooting. Stay updated on product changes, new technologies, and compliance standards.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent professional experience. 3-5 years of experience in technical or customer support, preferably in enterprise backup and recovery environments. Hands-on experience with backup/recovery software; familiarity with tools like Veritas, Veeam, NetBackup, or Avamar is an advantage. Strong troubleshooting skills in Windows Server, Linux, VMware/Hyper-V, and networking fundamentals. Experience implementing, configuring, and monitoring enterprise backup solutions. Excellent communication skills in English + Chinese
