We are growing and we\'re looking for talent to come onboard our Marketplace team as a Technology Team Lead based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Mission As a Tech Lead, you will facilitate, mentor and implement modern software development practices across your development team. You will define, develop, test and deliver software products to the highest standards at the desired cost. Your close alignment with the Product team will allow the business to rapidly innovate and experiment, and your architectural choices will represent current best practices with a view across the horizon at developing trends. As part of the Marketplace business unit you will lead a Tech team that builds and manages core platforms that power the MoneySmart experience across regions. Responsibilities Lead a team of talented engineers who are driven by shipping high-quality code Execute to high standards across the entire software development lifecycle including feature planning and estimation, automated testing, development, deployment and user acceptance testing Ensure code is being written in accordance with the principles agreed on by the team Facilitate conversation around coding, architecture standards and best practices Architect and design services/systems using design patterns that allow for iterative delivery and future scaling Help prioritize the team\'s efforts and facilitate the timely delivery of initiatives. Work with the product team to clearly define the teams capabilities and organize work Expert on modern software development with a preference for Agile methods Good understanding of the internet and the technology that powers it Accurate estimator who understands the complexities of a multi-skilled team Expert software developer with a passion for the web and its underlying technologies Strong analytical, business, project management, and organizational skills Self-motivated, positive-thinking, team player, leader, problem-solver Entrepreneurial and commercially minded, highly creative, and able to innovate quickly Passion for data, testing, and building a world-class customer experience People management, identify what drives each of the team members to Grow the technical team members Hire, onboard and retain top talent in the company Requirements Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field 6+ years of software development experience and at least 1 year leading an engineering team or managing engineers A full stack developer with strong backend development experience Experience working with a scripting language like Ruby Experience working with relational databases like PostgreSQL Experience working on cloud platforms like AWS Database design skills with understanding of handling sensitive customer data Have practical knowledge of OOPs concepts and SOLID principles You have a strong grasp of designing and building distributed systems in a services architecture We work on Ruby on Rails, Node.js, Typescript, VueJS, Kafka.
