Mission Statement:

Reviewing customer RFQ\'s and proposing optimized solution for the Microgrid, Battery Energy Storage Solutions (BESS) and automation system in terms of time, cost, quality and customer satisfaction. The incumbent will also be responsible to provide the optimized cost for the technical solution defined for each opportunity, to prepare and submit quality offer following internal process and meeting customer expectations. He/She will support the function head in achieving targets and coordinate with sales, tendering and projects team for customer interface.

Responsibilities:

• You will take ownership of complete techno commercial bid, analyze customer specifications in order to have a clear picture of its requests and to prepare a reliable technical solution for the bid.
• You will ensure the optimization of the bid design in terms of cost and customer requests, in accordance with Hitachi Energy technical standards, use commercially available tools, simulate energy flows in the MicroGrid to define required system sizing. Make use of internal tools to dimension stabilization solutions.
• You will develop a bid design containing as much as possible technical solutions already developed in previous orders in order to reduce engineering time and risk, perform homer simulations to arrive at optimal equipment sizing and configuration.
• You will be responsible for the preparation of the conceptual design of the bid including technical lay-out, preliminary Bill of Quantities (BoQ), relevant equipment descriptions and MicroGrid system technical bid description and definition in collaboration with the other unit bid responsible.
• You will prepare concept proposal on possible MicroGrid business cases and presentation to customer, if required, understand customer needs and work with the MicroGrid Engineering and the bid responsible to determine the most ideal customer solution. Initiate Technical Tender meetings with the Engineering.
• You will take lead in solving any bid design issue with the engineering team, the R&D team and the Sales team, formulate new functionality requests to R&D when necessary, preparation of the Division of Work (DOW) in collaboration with the sales and other business units.
• You will ensure the bids are professional, targeted, concise and successful with the aim of driving continuous improvements, responsible for timely completion of technical bid with correctness and quality of engineering deliverables of the project.
• Adhere to the Hitachi Energy\'s tendering process, templates and instructions, foster pro-activeness, creativeness and sense of urgency among colleagues, estimate and mitigate risks during the tendering.
• You will Prepare of Risk Review meetings when applicable, establish an adequate sales repeatable process in his/her field of responsibility to ensure improvements Collaborate with colleagues and peers to establish best practices in the bid process.
• You will establish, maintain and develop internal commercial and technical relations with the factories and their representatives, locally and internationally, coordinate with key technological partners to provide unified and compliant design to end customer.

• Bachelor\'s Engineering or Masters in Electricals.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical system tendering functions handling large system tenders.
• Product knowledge of MicroGrid and BESS solutions products & systems eg -e-mesh Control Platform.
• Excellent knowledge & understanding of electrical systems including battery systems plus, electrical process control and power systems in general.
• Tendering experience (bids and proposals) as tender lead including involvement contract negotiations, customer discussions.
• Experience coordinating and cooperating with colleagues from multiple countries and with multicultural backgrounds.
• Coordination skills within a multinational company.
• Team player, multi priority & multi-tasking, analytical approach, problem solving & conflict resolution.
• Eye for details, high customer orientation, capability to drive the electrical and control design engineering specification of the project independently.
• Communications & presentation skills and excellent level of English required
