Job Title:

Tester

Primary Objectives

Collaborate closely with Test Manager, Test Lead, and Business Users to ensure smooth test delivery. Ensure comprehensive test coverage including both functional and non-functional requirements. Maintain and update test documentation with full traceability to business and technical requirements. Execute manual and/or automated test cases to validate software functionality. Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as

JIRA

. Manage multiple testing assignments concurrently while maintaining quality and timelines. Continuously enhance testing processes and contribute to overall QA best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Participate actively in test planning and provide valuable inputs. Validate traceability between functional specifications, test scenarios, and test cases. Prepare

test plans, test cases, test data

, and maintain a

Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM)

. Execute assigned test cases and report progress to IT PM, Business PM, Test Manager, or Test Lead. Ensure inclusion of both explicit and implicit

non-functional requirements

in the test scope. Log, monitor, and track defects in

JIRA

, ensuring accurate updates with supporting evidence (logs, screenshots, etc.). Support

defect triage

and ensure timely closure of issues. Work across multiple projects simultaneously (typically 2-3 at a time). Contribute to the knowledge base for continuous improvement of test practices and release readiness.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in

Information Technology, Computer Science

, or a related discipline.

1-4 years

of experience in software testing, preferably within a

Banking / Financial Institution

environment. Minimum

1 year

in a junior tester position. Familiar with

Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)

and defect management practices. Hands-on experience with

JIRA

and

Confluence

for test and defect tracking. Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills. Ability to work extended hours when required to meet critical project timelines.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
