Primary Objective:

To supervise, coordinate and ensure smooth running of Transaction Management Unit and providing day to day operational support to the superior.

To ensure operational efficiency and productivity level of the team.

Key tester for Ad hoc projects and regulatory changes like eMIS and OSP.

EPF and PRS Funds sales operations

Coaching - new team members

Day End checking and Month End processing
Key Responsibilities:

Transaction Management Unit:

1. Responsible in handling and processing all transactions in relation to Sales/ Redemption/ Cooling-Off/ Switching/ Transfer, covering Cash, EPF, PRS, and any other plans.
2. Compile booking of transactions from all sales channels from Agencies/ Branches/ CUTAs/ IUTAs/ PPA Online Portal as well as walk-in clients to enable timely processing of transactions.
3. Process PRS Youth Incentives upon receiving client listing from PPA to ensure all eligible PRS investors receive the relevant units in their accounts.
4. Prepare creation and cancellation of units on a daily basis and ensure such compilation, including the subsequent amended compilation, is forwarded to trustees prior to the cut-off time within the same business day.
5. Ensure accurate day-to-day processing of all transactions are carried out within standard turnaround time, and in compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, guidelines and procedures on unit trust funds transactions.
6. Execute internal controls and ensure all checker-maker processes are in place and properly executed, so as to mitigate any potential operational lapses/ risks.
7. Perform End-of-Day (EOD) and Month-End processing in accordance with checklist and ensure accuracy and completeness of such processing.
8. Generate relevant reports to perform effective day-to-day reconciliation upon processing of all transactions in relation to Sales/ Redemption/ Cooling-Off/ Switching/ Transfer.
9. Responsible in generating daily client advices and IUTA Confirmation in relation to Sales/ Redemption/ Cooling-Off/ Switching/ Transfer upon completion of transaction processing and ensure mailing is done within the stipulated turnaround time.
10. Participate actively in end-to-end process improvement and system testing under Asset Management Operations.
11. To perform the other functions and tasks as and when assigned.
12. To demonstrate teamwork in Transfer Agency Unit and working closely with other team members and Senior Management personnel at all times.13. Lead on the PRS data accuracy cleanup project. Data is now up to date and the split of PRS ratio is now correctly reflected in the system. Clean up of the PRS data is crucial for readiness to migrate to new PRS system in Q3 2018.
14. Project Committee for the New PRS system. To take charge in new system requirement studies, scope of coverage, UAT testing and monitoring the progress, to ensure new system stability and to ensure the team are knowledgeable to use it.
15. To liaise with other department/division and ensure clear messages/intentions are being brought out during conversations.
16. To equally allocate working resources to ensure everyone has sufficient exposure and have the opportunity to perform.
17. To enhance current process of PRS and EPF, to reduce operational turnaround time and increase preciseness of work.
18. To ensure the team is not rigidly fixed individually for any specific tasks, but to instill learning culture to prepare everyone in the team to be readily available for all TA tasks therefore to support the team when necessary.

Requirements

Requirements:
Bachelor Degree - Any related field(s).

1-3 years\' experience in similar capacity in unit trust industry

  • Self-motivated and results-oriented individual with strong interpersonal, problem solving skills and able to work effectively with people from all levels.
  • Meticulous/ eye for details.
  • Hands-on person.
  • Able to work under pressure
