Job Title: Tooling / Process Engineer
Department: Engineering
Reports To: Assistant Engineering Manager
Salary Range: RM4,500 - RM7,500 (commensurate with experience)
Employment Type: Full-time, Exempt/Salaried
? Key Responsibilities

• Process & Tooling Design: Design, develop, revise, and implement manufacturing processes, tooling, and work instructions to ensure optimal cost and productivity.
• Engineering Support: Provide troubleshooting and technical support to production and maintenance to solve tooling or process issues.
• Continuous Improvement: Support cost-reduction, tooling life improvement (e.g. via Deform simulation), and productivity projects.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate job files, technical drawings, and records.
• Collaboration: Work closely with QC and Production to meet quality and delivery goals.
• ISO & Safety: Apply ISO 9001 & ISO 45000 standards in daily operations.
• Lean Practice: Utilize Lean Manufacturing techniques for waste and defect reduction.

? Skills & Competencies

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; strong sense of responsibility.
• Proficient in SolidWorks, MasterCAM, and Deform Simulation software.
• Familiar with GD&T, MRP, material flow, and capability studies.
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset; strong customer service orientation.
• Positive leadership attitude and morale-building ability.

? Education & Experience

• Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Metallurgical, or Materials Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of process engineering experience, preferably in metal stamping industry (3-5 years).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, MasterCAM, and MS Excel.

?? Physical & Work Requirements

• Regular attendance; able to work 8-hour shifts, 5 days/week.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• On-site collaboration and report preparation using standard software.
