Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated

Training & Development (Nursing)

professional to lead, plan, and execute training programmes for our caregivers, nurses, and support staff across our nursing home and service divisions. This role is crucial in ensuring skills competency, compliance with healthcare standards, and continuous improvement in service quality.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, plan, and deliver training modules for caregivers and nursing staff (skills training, SOPs, emergency procedures, infection control, documentation, etc.). Conduct competency assessments, evaluations, and retraining where necessary. Ensure all staff are trained according to MOH, DOSH, and industry standards. Create and update training materials, manuals, and guidelines. Monitor staff performance related to care quality and provide corrective training. Support onboarding training for new hires. Coordinate external trainings, CPD programmes, and certification where applicable. Work closely with Nurse Manager / Centre Manager on training needs analysis. Maintain proper documentation of training attendance, competency logs, and audit reports. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in quality care and service excellence.

Requirements

Diploma/Degree in Nursing or equivalent. Valid Nursing Board (LJM) registration is an advantage. Minimum 2-3 years experience in elderly care, nursing home, hospital, or clinical training environment. Strong knowledge of caregiving skills, patient handling techniques, emergency procedures, and infection control. Experience in training adults, conducting workshops, and competency assessments. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Passionate about teaching, guiding, and developing others. Able to work independently and travel between centres if needed.
