Kelayakan

  • Education Qualification: Certificate/ Diploma/Degree in Pastry Arts, Pastry-Making, Baking, or relevant field.
  • Required Language: English, Bahasa. Mandarin is an added advantage
  • Minimum 5 years\' or above experience working within the food industry as a Pastry Chef, Baker, or relevant role.
  • Working knowledge of baking techniques and the pastry-making process.
  • Creative ability with artistic skill in decorating cakes and other desserts.
  • In-depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation, and nutrition.
  • Ability to commit flexible working hours, including weekends when necessary.
  • Capable of working in fast-paced, production environment.
  • Able to start work within short notice period.
  • Possess own transport is preferred.
Tanggungjawab
  • Operating and managing the pastry section of the kitchen and liaising with the CDP and Sous Chef to ensure a successful working environment.
  • Menu development, design or creates new ideas and items for pastry kitchen.
  • Maintain products preparation handling and correct storage standards.
  • Ensures and maintains the productivity level of employees, guide & motivate production team to work efficiently.
  • Supervise production team in preparation shift operation.
  • Decorating pastries and desserts to ensure beautiful and tasteful presentation.
  • Meeting with sales to discuss details and planning of custom-made desserts.
  • Nurture talents chef, help in recruitment.
  • Monitoring the stock of baking ingredients, equipment to ensure production running smooth & effective.
  • Ordering new supplies, ingredients and equipment for pastry section, when needed and within budget.
  • Ensuring their section if the kitchen adheres to safety and health regulations.
  • Focus on constantly improving the training manuals & sop.
  • Provide training to CDP and Commis on the skill, correct way in operating machine, equipment & tools.
  • Participate actively in quality initiatives such as daily chef briefings and monthly team meetings in order to constantly improve the production operation, meet production target and keep communication flowing.
  • Ensures and maintains the productivity level of employees.
  • Maintain the par stock, FIFO, HACCP aspects within the production operation.
  • Reporting for the planning in progress and end of the day of production activity to the production director daily.
  • Monthly reports to production director of total quantity of products produce, wastage reports and manpower update.
  • Achieved zero shortage of products in order to meet daily delivery target.
