Degree or Diploma in Medical nursing/ Zoological Science/Animal Healthcare or any science or biology-related field or possess working experience in Veterinary Assistant Position before
Punctual, good time management skills
Ability to maintain good records on a practice management system, to handle and maintain medical equipment
Diligent and very effective in completing tasks and duties
Good interpersonal relationship and communication skills
Able to work on rotational shifts (day & night shifts), weekends, and Public Holidays
A pet owner or must love animals and keen to ensure all patients under their care is cared for at all times
Must at least have 2 years of experience in a front desk and customer service role in a Hospital environment
Those without required qualifications but have relevant working experience in a hospital environment are welcome to apply
Willing to work on 6 days shifts
Other Requirement:
Pure Science/Biomedical science background (preferred)
2 - 5 years of experience in front desk, hospital services background
RTK test before reporting for duty
Medical report (40 years old and above)
Inter transfer company/outlets when required
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Feed each animal as prescribed by the consulting veterinarian and record appetites
Mix food, medications, and food supplements, according to prescriptions
Make sure cages and animals to be admitted are properly identified/labeled and all personal belongings (towels, food, toys, treats, leashes) are stored and recorded in the chart and kept in a proper area
Groom and provide tender loving care to boarded and hospitalized animals
Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitary condition of the kennel area
Keep the workstation, wards, treatment, and pet lodge area odor free at all times
Cages should be monitored and cleaned as soon as pets are discharged so that the cage is available for another patient
Ensure wad hygiene and pets warded are cared for at all times. Monitor high-risk or post-surgery patients carefully
The ability to manage a ward, support the vets during rounds, and update the
charts or records on a system
Maintain equipment used to complete job assignments and keep such equipment and tools in good working conditions
Make all necessary preparations for the patient before going into surgery
Cleaning and disinfecting of all surgical instruments before and after the procedure
Provide assistance to vets during treatment and consultations when needed
for inpatients and outpatient cases
Perform small animal (I.e. Dogs, Cats, Rabbits) restraint procedures (basic and
advance)
Assist in IV drip management for all boarding and emergency cases
Assist in blood sample collections
Follow vets for any house call cases when needed
Ensure there are sufficient towels, drapes, and hand cloth to use
To be able to work in the front office/reception or at the wards in shifts
