Job Summary

The Waiter/Waitress is responsible for providing excellent food and beverage service to hotel guests, ensuring a pleasant dining experience, and maintaining the highest standards of hospitality and professionalism in line with hotel policies.

Key Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables. Present menus, provide detailed information on menu items, and offer recommendations. Take food and beverage orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen/bar. Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring quality standards are met. Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a professional manner. Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware, and glassware. Ensure cleanliness and proper presentation of dining areas at all times. Check identification of guests to verify age requirements for alcohol service (if applicable). Handle billing, process payments, and issue receipts correctly. Assist in opening and closing duties of the restaurant. Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth service flow. Follow hotel policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and service standards. Adhere to hygiene, health, and safety regulations. Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required.

Qualifications & Skills

Minimum SPM or equivalent; hospitality-related training preferred. Previous experience in F&B service, preferably in a hotel environment, is an advantage. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Good command of English (other languages are an added advantage). Customer-focused, friendly, and professional attitude. Ability to work in shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for long periods. Ability to lift and carry trays up to 10kg.

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM1,800.00 per month
