Job Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and lead members to achieve standard performance and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the warehouse and shipping operations.
2. Provide leadership and development to staff by supervising, training, coaching and guiding the team.
3. Develop warehouse operation systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, developing, implementing, enforcing and evaluating procedures, developing process for receiving products and materials and inventory management to ensure accuracy of the stocks balances, condition of stocks and stock aging.
4. Promote quality management and continuous improvement of the operations in order to achieve cost effective performance goals.
5. Liaison with cross functional department, surveyor and forwarder/ hauler agents to ensure efficient movement and turn around of import and export containers to maximize space utilization and minimize detention/demurrage charges.
6. Manage problem efficiently and competently when schedule is off plan due to change in requirement, missed deadlines etc. and ensure that production/assigned task is back on schedule through contingency planning.
7. Monitor and liaison with other functional department and/or supplier/service provider to ensure that RM and PM that are required for the production are available and in place for effectiveness and smooth operation.
Job Requirements:
1. Possess a Diploma or Degree in Logistic/Supply Chain Management or equivalent and having minimum 2 years related working experience in Shipping/Warehouse/Logistics or related field.
2. Excel excellent leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills and ability to interact with all level of staff.
3. Proactive and excellent analytical and problem solving skill and able to work effectively.
4. Knowledge of supply chain, inventory, distribution, business, and management principles.
5. Good written and verbal communication skills.
6. Knowledge of ISO, HACCP, FSSC, Halal and GMP procedure.
7. Team player, resourceful and tactful.
