  • High school diploma or equivalent. Culinary training or vocational certification preferred.
  • One year experience as a Wok Cook in a high volume restaurant.
  • Excellent guest service and hospitality skills.
  • Strong problem solving and listening skills.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle and maintain confidential information.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to fifty (50) pounds at a time.
  • Ability to push and pull heavy items and equipment.
  • Ability to perform various activities such as constant standing, walking, frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, and squatting.
  • Ability to multi-task several activities and duties simultaneously.
  • Ability to function and act independently.
  • Ability to work well with people, in a team environment, and to communicate effectively both written & oral
  • Ability to function in a fast paced environment, under short time constraints, and within established deadlines.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including extended hours, weekends, and holidays.
  • Obtain/maintain a food handler\'s permit.

Tanggungjawab
  • To prepare all meals and other food items served in the designated wok area. All duties are to be performed in accordance with department and Company policies, practices, procedures and within the framework.
  • Prepares meals and other food items served in the wok area.
  • Uses recipes and a variety of kitchen equipment to prepare Chinese food according the specifications
  • Possesses intimate knowledge of Chinese style cooking as well as an overall understanding of Chinese and general Asian cooking techniques.
  • Possesses intimate knowledge of wok operation, rice cookery, specialized Asian vegetable cuts, and sauces related to stir fry and Chinese cooking.
  • Monitors customer flow and estimated daily food requirements and supplies, requisitioning items needed on a daily basis.
  • Bakes, roasts, boils, fries, and steams meat, fish, vegetables, and other foods.
  • Informs Supervisor of any irregularities occurring within the food preparation operation and of customer complaints or other disputes which cannot be readily resolved.
  • Maintains a constant awareness of safety and accident prevention, immediately notifying the supervisor and completing an accident report in the event an accident occurs.
  • Promotes and maintains the highest level of customer service to all guests while staying alert to their needs.
  • Resolves guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise refers the matter to management. Notifies Supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
