Job Description

The Workshop Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the automotive workshop to ensure efficiency, quality service, and customer satisfaction. This role involves managing a team of mechanics and service advisors, monitoring job schedules, ensuring proper maintenance procedures, and maintaining high safety and performance standards.

Job Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate workshop activities, including vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance. Plan and allocate jobs to technicians according to workload and skill levels. Ensure all repairs and maintenance are performed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with company standards. Monitor job progress and ensure timely completion of customer vehicles. Maintain quality control and conduct final inspections before vehicle release. Manage inventory of tools, spare parts, and consumables; liaise with suppliers for orders and stock replenishment. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized workshop environment. Provide technical guidance and training to mechanics and service staff. Handle customer issues or complaints related to workshop services. Prepare regular reports on workshop performance, productivity, and costs. Support management in budgeting, cost control, and operational improvements. Responsible to achieve company sales targets and manage operations within the approved budget allocation, ensuring overall profitability and cost efficiency of the workshop.

Requirements:

Diploma or Degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent. Minimum 5-8 years of working experience in automotive workshop operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Strong technical knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostics. Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage a team and work in a fast-paced environment. Computer literate (Microsoft Office, workshop management systems).

Familiar with safety and environmental regulations related to workshop operations. Possess a good network of technical contacts within the automotive industry would be an added advantage.

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
