Role Summary

The Accounts Manager manages daily accounting operations, ensures the accuracy of financial data, and supports the Financial Controller in reporting, compliance, and budgeting. This role bridges operational execution with strategic financial oversight.

Key Responsibilities

A. Accounting Operations

Oversee and review all general ledger functions, including AP, AR, and GL reconciliations. Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing. Maintain proper accounting records and documentation.

B. Financial Reporting

Prepare management reports, financial summaries, and variance analysis. Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements. Support the Financial Controller in budgeting, forecasting, and audit processes.

C. Compliance & Control

Ensure adherence to company accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. Handle statutory filings, SST submissions, and tax documentation. Assist in implementing recommendations from external and internal audits.

D. Team Management

Supervise Accounts Executives and review their work. Provide training and guidance to ensure accuracy and consistency. Support performance appraisals and continuous improvement initiatives.

E. Process Improvement

Identify opportunities to improve accounting systems and workflows. Assist in the implementation of digital or ERP accounting tools.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Minimum

5-7 years

of accounting experience, with at least

2 years in a supervisory role

. Good understanding of

full set of accounts

and local statutory compliance. Experience in

F&B or retail industry

is an advantage. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines. Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SQL, Xero, or similar) and MS Office. Good leadership and communication skills.
